1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Solomon & Hamilton Consolidated Group LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as ClassCaller ("ClassCaller," "we," "us"). They cover the classcaller.com website, the ClassCaller apps for iPhone and Android, and the reminder calls we place (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. What ClassCaller is
ClassCaller is a reminder service that places automated phone calls to you before assignment deadlines pulled from your learning-management-system calendar feed (such as Canvas). ClassCaller is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instructure, Inc. or any school. "Canvas" is a trademark of Instructure, Inc.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or have a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf and supervises your use. You must provide accurate information, and you are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You may only connect calendar feeds that belong to you.
4. Phone calls and consent
By adding and verifying your phone number, you expressly consent to receive automated, pre-recorded, and AI-generated voice calls from ClassCaller at that number, including the call that verifies your number and reminder calls at the times and frequencies you configure. Consent is for your own number only. Marking an assignment done, or choosing not to be called about it, on the website or in the app stops reminder calls for that assignment. You can revoke consent entirely at any time by removing your number, disabling reminders, or deleting your account. Standard carrier charges may apply. You choose the voice and reminder style, and can change or turn them off at any time in Settings.
5. The ClassCaller apps
The iPhone and Android apps are free to download and use the same account as the website. They let you see upcoming assignments, mark them done, stop calls about them, and manage your account. The apps need an internet connection, and your carrier's data charges may apply. We may release updates to the apps, and some updates may be required to keep using them.
6. Free plan and Pro subscription
The Free plan includes a limited number of reminder calls per month. Pro is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and Pro remains active until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods.
7. Referral program
When someone signs up with your referral link and their first Pro payment goes through, you and they each get one free month of Pro, applied as a credit to a future Pro bill. Credits stack, have no cash value, and can't be transferred. If you aren't a Pro subscriber yet, your credit waits until you subscribe. If the qualifying payment is refunded or charged back, both credits are reversed, including any credit already used. Self-referrals, fake accounts, and other abuse don't qualify, and we may withhold or reverse credits earned that way. We may change or end the program at any time; credits already earned will still apply.
8. AI-generated calls
Call voices are generated with AI, and we use AI to turn course codes into course names and to sort real assignments from other calendar items. AI can get things wrong, so a call may mispronounce a name or get a detail wrong. Always check your course site for the real details of an assignment.
9. Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee
ClassCaller depends on third parties we don't control: your school's calendar feed, telephone carriers, and cloud providers. Feeds can lag behind changes made in your LMS, and calls can fail or be delayed. You remain responsible for your own deadlines. Do not rely on ClassCaller as your only system for tracking academic work.
10. Acceptable use
Don't use ClassCaller to call numbers that aren't yours, to harass anyone, to probe or disrupt the service, to resell it, or to violate any law or your school's policies. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or create risk for other users.
11. Your data
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect (account details, phone number, calendar-feed assignments, call logs) and how we use it. We use your calendar data solely to provide the service. You keep all rights to your own data.
12. Ending your account
You can stop using ClassCaller at any time and delete your account from Settings on the website or from the menu in the app. Deleting your account stops all calls. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends (such as disclaimers, limits on liability, and governing law) will continue.
13. Intellectual property
ClassCaller, its name, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service, including the apps, for your own non-commercial use.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including missed deadlines, lost grades, or lost opportunities.
15. Apple App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store: these terms are between you and ClassCaller, not Apple, and ClassCaller, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. Your license to the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the app's purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. ClassCaller, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement, consumer-protection claims, and claims that the app infringes someone else's intellectual property. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your wireless carrier's. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, Google's terms for Google Play also apply to your download, and Google is not responsible for the app.
16. Changes to the service or these terms
We may update the service and these terms. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated terms here and update the date below. Continuing to use ClassCaller after changes take effect means you accept them.
17. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions, complaints, or claims about the Service or the apps?
