Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Solomon & Hamilton Consolidated Group LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as ClassCaller ("ClassCaller," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use the classcaller.com website, the ClassCaller apps for iPhone and Android, and the reminder calls we place (together, the "Service").
Questions? Email privacy@classcaller.com. If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use the Service.
The short version
- We collect what we need to call you about your deadlines: your email, phone number, Canvas calendar feed, and call preferences.
- We read your Canvas calendar feed only. We never see your Canvas password, grades, submissions, or messages.
- We don't record your calls.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- A small set of service providers (listed below) handle data for us, including AI providers that create the call voice and name your courses.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings on the website or from the menu in the app.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see it in plain text), and, if you choose, a display name.
- Phone number: the number you verify so we can call you.
- Canvas calendar feed URL: the private calendar link you copy from Canvas.
- Preferences: when you want to be called, quiet hours, voice, message style, custom call wording, and courses you mute.
- Assignments you add yourself: text you type or paste, or a photo or screenshot you upload so we can read an assignment out of it.
- What you do in the Service: assignments you mark done or ask us not to call about.
- Messages to us: anything you send through the contact form or by email.
- Referrals: your referral code and which accounts signed up with it.
Information from your Canvas calendar feed
When you connect your feed, we sync the assignment and event details it contains: titles, course codes, due dates, descriptions, and links back to Canvas. See section 9.
Payment information
If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We never see or store your full card number. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your subscription status, billing history, and whether a payment succeeded.
Information collected automatically
- Website: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you visit, how you got to our site, and similar usage data, collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see section 5).
- Apps: when the app talks to our servers, those requests carry basic technical information such as your IP address, device type, and operating system version. The app keeps your sign-in session on your device.
- Calls: details about each call we place (see section 10).
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: syncing your deadlines, placing reminder calls, and stopping calls for work you've finished.
- To create and secure your account, and to verify your phone number.
- To process payments, subscriptions, and referral credits.
- To send you service emails, such as help finishing setup and notices about your account or these policies.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To understand how the Service is used, fix problems, and improve it.
- To measure how well our advertising works.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with the law.
3. How we use AI
A few parts of the Service use AI provided by outside companies:
- Call voices: OpenAI turns the text of each reminder into spoken audio. That text includes your first name and the assignments and courses the call is about.
- Course names: Anthropic's Claude, with web search, turns a registrar code like "ACT-2025" into a name like "accounting." For this we send only the course code and your school's Canvas web address (for example, yourschool.instructure.com), not your name or contact details.
- Sorting your calendar: Claude reads calendar item titles to tell real assignments apart from things like office hours, so we don't call you about them.
- Adding assignments from a photo or text: Claude reads the photo or text you provide and drafts the assignment for you to confirm.
The wording of reminder calls comes from our own templates, not from AI. Under their standard business terms, OpenAI and Anthropic don't use data sent through their APIs to train their models.
4. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run ClassCaller, and only as needed for the work they do for us:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, sign-in, and file storage |
| Twilio | Placing calls, verifying your phone number, and detecting voicemail |
| OpenAI | Creating the voice audio for calls |
| Anthropic | The AI features described in section 3 |
| Stripe | Payments and subscriptions |
| Resend | Sending email |
| Cloudflare | Hosting the website |
| PostHog, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity | Website analytics |
| Meta (Facebook) | Measuring our ads |
We may also share information:
- If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, ClassCaller, or others.
- As part of a merger, sale, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business.
- With your permission.
We don't sell your personal information for money. Our website uses advertising technology from Meta and Google to measure our ads. Some state laws treat that as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out as described in section 11.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure our ads. Microsoft Clarity may capture how you interact with pages (for example, clicks and scrolling) so we can find and fix design problems. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may stop working.
The ClassCaller apps don't use advertising identifiers and don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
6. The ClassCaller apps
The apps use the same account as the website and show your upcoming assignments so you can mark them done and manage calls. The apps don't access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or photo library. Apple and Google handle app downloads under their own privacy policies.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we immediately stop all calls and remove your phone number, name, Canvas feed link, and custom call wording. We keep limited records, such as call logs and billing records, only as long as needed for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute purposes, and then delete or anonymize them. Call audio files are deleted within a few days of the call. To ask us to delete everything we can, email privacy@classcaller.com.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls that keep each student's data separate. No method of transmitting or storing data is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Canvas data
We access Canvas only through the calendar feed URL you give us. We don't have your Canvas password or login access to your Canvas account, and we can't change anything in Canvas. We don't access your grades, submissions, or messages. You can cut off our access at any time by resetting your calendar feed link in Canvas, which makes the link we have stop working.
10. Phone call data
For each call, we log:
- the date and time;
- which assignments it was about;
- its duration and delivery status, and whether a person or voicemail answered;
- the text of what was said.
We don't record calls. When a call is answered, Twilio briefly analyzes the audio in real time to tell whether a person or voicemail picked up, so we can leave a complete voicemail; that audio isn't stored by us. Twilio may keep call records under its own privacy policy.
11. Your choices and rights
- See and update your information in Settings on the website.
- Stop calls for one assignment, for a course, or altogether, in the app or on the website.
- Delete your account from Settings on the website or from the menu in the app.
- Opt out of ad tracking by emailing privacy@classcaller.com, and by using your browser's cookie controls.
Rights in certain U.S. states
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia), you may have the right to:

- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- get a copy of your information in a portable format;
- opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal information, and certain kinds of profiling;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information;
- get a list of the categories of third parties (and, in some states, the specific third parties) we've disclosed information to;

To make a request, email privacy@classcaller.com or use our contact page. We'll verify your identity (usually by confirming you control your account email) and respond within the time the law requires, normally 45 days. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that you authorized them. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@classcaller.com, and if we deny the appeal you can contact your state attorney general.
California "Shine the Light": we don't share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Do Not Track: there's no common standard for browser "Do Not Track" signals, so we don't currently respond to them.
